Educational & Other Qualifications: -

  1. Degree from a recognized University in the relevant discipline      
                                And
      2. Ability to demonstrate in English.

  • Experience in Web Site Development, Software Development & Mobile Application Development  would be an added advantage  

 

Salary: - Rs. 37970 /-                          

Allowances: - Cost of Living Rs.17800/- + Interim Allowance Rs. 5000/-

 

Selected candidates will become the contributors to the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) contributing 10% of their earnings and the SLIATE contributing 15% of their earnings from its funds and also contributing 3% of their earnings to the Employees’ Trust Fund (ETF).

 

Conditions of Service: -

  1. The recruitment will be on contract basis for a period of one (1) year and the extensions will be considered on the basis of performance. 
  2. Age limit is below 45 years for all categories. However, it will not apply for those who are in the permanent cadre in the Public/State sector. 
  3. Applicants in Government Departments, Corporations and Statutory Boards should submit their original applications with the recommendation of Head of respective Institutions. 
  4. Selected applicants holding pensionable post in Government Departments will have to obtain their release through the Director General of Establishments. However, they will not be entitled to pension rights whilst in the service of the SLIATE. 
  5. Only short listed candidates will be called for an interview.

 

The original application with a set of certified copies of the certificates should be submitted at the interview.

As per the recommendations of the Committee appointed by Prof. Wiswa Waranapala, Deputy Minister of Higher Education in 1994, the Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technical Education (SLIATE) was formed in 1995, under the Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technical Education Act No. 29 of 1995, In 2001 the name of the institution was amended to read as Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technological Education, (SLIATE). It functions as an autonomous Institute for the management of Higher National and National Diploma courses. The main purposes of establishing SLIATE were to reform and restructure the entire technical and vocational education system in relation to the changing needs of economic development, to meet manpower requirements of national development strategies, and the promotion of privatization, with special concern for meeting the scarcity of trained technological manpower resources at the technician level.
